When simulationg 2.45 MeV neutrons on Uranium the following message appears after a few 100 neutrons: GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD Dumping the registered hadronic state information Nucleus A, Z = 238 92 Projectile was a neutron projectile momentum (px, py, pz) = (3.55271e-15, 0, 67.89) Projectile energy = 942.015 GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD_GHAD I'm running geant4.8.0.p01 with G4NDL3.8, on FC3 with gcc-version 3.4.4 Regards, Victor Bom V.R.Bom@TUDelft.nl
Let's get a little more information: 1) what are all the processes and models assigned to the neutron? 2) is the target a simple block of uranium? 3) is it natural isotopic abundance, or some other mix?
This is now fixed in Geant4 8.1, which is now available. I reproduced the segmentation fault in Geant4 8.0 p01, and confirmed that it no longer appears in Geant4 8.1 (for 10,000 incident neutrons).
