after installing GEANT4 7.0 on mandrake 10.1 we got the message that the
installation seems to be successful; but it turns out that two directories
$G4INSTALL/lib and $G4INSTALL/include are still empty.

It would be useful if you can provide more details about your attempted
installation, i.e.:
- are you using the Configure script or the 'manual' configuration ?
  If using the Configure scrips, which is the installation-area you have
  specified ?
- list the relevant Geant4 environment variables at the time you make the
  installation
Note that, unfortunately, we do not have chance to verify installations on
Mandrake, since it is not a distribution we support.
