Description pshenich 2004-11-17 08:49:33 CET
Dear GEANT4 developers,

I tried to switched on hadronic physics - binary cascade - in the example
/examples/extended/electromagnetic/TestEm7. I just uncommented the following line

/testem/phys/addPhysics  binary

in run01.mac you kindly provided. This produced the following output

.....
World is registered to the default region.
physicsList->Construct() start.
physicsList->Construct() start.

phot: Total cross sections from Sandia parametrisation.
Thank you for using G4BinaryCascade.
Thank you for using G4BinaryCascade.
Segmentation fault

Without including hadronic physics it works stable.
Is an alternative (cascade-type) model for proton induced nuclear reactions
in ~100-1000 MeV energy domain available in Geant4 6.2 ?  A recent patch-02 does
not fix this problem, which arise also with

/testem/phys/addPhysics  binary_ion

Thank you very much for your attention.
With the best regards,
                        Igor Pshenichnov

It has been fixed on 13/8/2004 in a similar way as suggested in #691
It will appear in Geant4 V7.0
