I believe that there should be a CM->Lab boost for the secondaries before they are stacked for tracking. I've checked some numbers for n+74Ge->n'+gammas+74Ge and they make no sense unless one converts from CM->Lab. This have close to no effect on gammas and very little effect on the neutron energy (since vcm ~ 1e-3 c) but makes quite a difference on the Ge ion energy... best regards Joa
Dear Joa, thank you for reporting this. I had a look. You are right, but it is not as simple as ading a boost in the inelastic model. It is deep down in the aggregation hirarchy - this may take me a while... Many greetings, Hans-Peter.
Sorry for delayed comments. This is took over me and still under invetigation. Tatsumi
This problem has been deferred until the end of 2007. Beacuse the problem is rather deep-seated, we are currently developing an alternate set of high precision neutron processes to fix it.
Hi, As far as I know, this severe problem is not yet solved. Any ideas when it will be solved? Johan
It now looks like an alternative model will be ready by Summer of 2008. Due to limited manpower, we will not fix the existing model because it is a large job.
Model will be replaced by new LLNL-based model by year's end, so no further work on HP model will be done.
This problem is partially identified and an initial effort for fixing will be include coming beta release of v9.2 and further efforts still on going. Tatsumi
This is fixed at Geant4 v9.2.
