Description zengzhi01 2004-03-11 17:53:22 CET
When proton with 100 MeV incident to water, it can produce secondary proton
with the energy more than 100 MeV in G4LElastic process.

The details is described in hadronic physics in user forum.

Hi,

first I though, this was due to the non-relativistic formulation, then a
precision problem, but unfortunately this is not the only thing wrong with the
elastc scattering code. We are rewriting this at present.

Many greetings,

Hans-Peter.

This bug have been fixed in the release 8.1 by introduction of the new elastic
model: G4HadronElastic. For backward compatibility th eold class with the
problem is unchanged.
Comment 3 Vladimir.Ivantchenko 2006-06-14 12:23:59 CEST
The new model G4HadronElastic is prepared to be released with Geant4 8.1 this
month. In this model 4-momentum balance was proofed. G4LElastic is left
unchanged for backward compatibility.
