hi, From xray_fluorescence, I modified the PhysicsList until I ended up with a Low Energy Electromagnetic Process. For my simulation, I want to find out how efficient is my detector CsI(1 mm thick) to xrays at 20 keV. One possible way to understand the efficiency is to observed the energy deposit. But I noticed that almost all (~99%) of the xray photons incident on the crystal are absorbed and deposited their energy equal to 20 keV. In contrast, this behavior works fine at Enegy 1.275 MeV. I also noticed the segmentation fault when I include the line "/le/cutEnergy 250 eV" on the macro.mac file.
I have been trying for almost a month to reassign this problem report to Susanna Guatelli, who has agreed to take care of it. Unfortunately, due to a feature of the Geant4 Problem Report System, which I have reported several times in the past years to the maintainer of the system, I haven't been able to do this reassignment. As a result, the problem is still open, the user has not got any assistance, and the image of Geant4 User Support is affected. Incidentally, the system would let me reassign the problem to people who are not even any more members of the Geant4 Colloaboration, nor have ever had any responsibilities as developers. Therefore, at this point I can only reassign this problem to the maintainer of the PRS, hoping that he will take care of it himself. My seincere apologies to the user whoi submitted this problem, who unfortunately has to suffer of the poor features of Geant4 PRS. Best wishes, Maria Grazia Pia

The system is so primitive, that it does not even let me notify Susanna Guatelli in the cc field. My apologies to user who need to listen to it too :( For other problems/comments I suggest to use PRS component: 'WebTools'. I'm opening a problem report for this problem. In addition I'll open UserRequirement for this because I belive it's not a problem but next development of the system (I've asked to open this in UserRequirement... But this way was found as more 'acceptable' ?:) P.S. BTW for me (with the same level of access - nothing special :) it was possible to add Susanna Guatelli (who registrated by yourself as Susanna.Guatelli@ge.infn.it) and you, Maria-Grazia. Maybe it's not so primitive :)?
Due to a problem with the Problem Report System, the developer whom this problem was assigned to could not commit the resolution to the PRS. She sent the documentation directly to the user demonstrating that the report was not a Geant4 problem indeed. The problem report is now closed. Best wishes, Maria Grazia
