The azimuthal distribution of nucleons emited in p+X interactions produces a spike at phi=0 (pz=0 when shutting in the x direction) for proton energies of 597 MeV and 800 MeV. Between 12% and 18% of the events had at least one such nucleon. The fractions of nucleons with pz=0 (exactly) is between 1.1% adn 2.9%.
I saw the plots, concerning the LEP (low energy parametrized) models. I trust the 2% spike is there. Since it is a small effect, and happens only at energies far above the spallation energy range it made this low priority, though.
Hi Isidro, this one is fixed in geant4 4.1. Many greetings, Hans-Peter.
