Description Hans-Peter.Wellisch 2001-10-15 11:30:13 CEST
Hi, our friends from N-tof see this crash in evaporation:

Does not make sense to deexcite
Fragment: A = 2, Z = 2, U = 9.540e+00 MeV
          P = (3.777e+01,-1.727e+02,-7.088e+01) MeV   E = 1.896e+03 MeV
          #Particles = 2, #Holes = 1, #Charged = 2
G4ExcitationHandler.cc: I can't deexcite your compound nucleus

*** G4Exception: Aborting execution ***
Aborted (core dumped)

Can you have a look, Vicente?

Greetings,

Hans-Peter.

Hi,

This kind of problems is already managed in another way (not throwing an
exception). What I'd like to know is how a di-proton arrives to evaporation. For
that I need to know the compound nucleus that enters precompound, if it is the
case and if it is not, from where this nucleus comes from. I've already seen
this kind of exceptions when a light nucleus is sent to deexcitation. But a
di-proton is something new, any information will be wellcome.

Greetings,

Vicente

If there is no feedback from users I can't do anything. Sorry.
