Created attachment 759 [details] An example of "strangeness violation" of kaonZero inelastic. The reference physics is FTFP_BERT I am trying to simulate the K0 's propagation in high density material. The momentum of K0 is 326 MeV/c. The density of the material is 148.9 g/cm^3. The mass fraction of the two main elements is H:He = 0.36:0.63. Geant4 version used is g4.10.07.p03. The reference physics lists are tested as following: FTFP_BERT, FTFP_INCLXX, FTF_BIC, QGSP_BERT, QGSP_INCLXX, QGSP_BIC, QBBC. The ratio of the violation is about 8%. An example of "strangeness violation" as attached picture. Looking forward for your reply. Thanks very much!
The weak phase is not propagated in Geant4. As a result, neutral kaon interactions with nuclei must be treated approximately. This means that strangeness is only conserved on average and that particular events may not conserve it.
