If the physics list "Shielding" is combined with the importance sampling technique there is a huge excess of gamma radiation in the MeV region - in contrast to other physics list such as "QGSP_BERT_HP" or "QGSP_BIC_HP". A closer inspection revealed that these gammas originate from radioactive decays. I also saw that the extra gammas all have a weight of 1 whereas other particles (mainly neutrons and gammas from other sources) have weights in the order of 10^-4 at this position. Presumably the radioactive decay ignores the weight of the neutron which activated the atomic nucleus.
