Created attachment 300 [details] gamma spectrum HI Dennis, I choose this example, as it illustrates well the problems we encounter in 10.1 release : deexcitation Xe131[341.140] ---> Xe131[163.926] ---> Xe131 1- level 163.926 keV is not explicitly created 2- time life of chain is 1.6 ns instead of 12 days 3- gamma spectrum (and e- spectrum as well) includes dummy rays. See attached plots

Comment on attachment 312 [details] decay macro of Nb93m for rdecay01 Hello, In my case, with rdecay01 example , I tried to decay Nb93 first metastable state (IT, 16.1 year, 30.77 keV) The bug appears with 10.1 version. This isotope has a highly converted gamma ray In previous versions (<10.1) , gamma spectrum is ok with XK characteritics lines and the very low intensity for gamma at 30.77 keV With version 10.1 I have also dummy rays in spectrums like Michel ( see gamma and electron plots and compare to nudat intensities) With another isotope, Sn117m (14 days, 314.58 keV, IT decay), the intermediate level (158.56, 0.27 ns ) is not explicitly created as seen by Michel. I also attach the simple macro derived from example rdecay01 Gilles

With tags hadr-deex-V10-01-03 and radioactive_decay-V10-01-09, these problems now seem to be fixed. According to my tests, in the decay of Xe131[341.140], the 163.926 level is now produced. The half-life of the decay is now 1.6 ns as in the RDM database. Also Nb93[30.77] seems to decay properly, with 27587 e- and 1359 gammas for 10000 decays of Nb93. And Sn117[314.58] decay now produces the Sn117[158.559] state. The half-life is seen to be 14.2 days, as expected. Please try these tags, and if they work for you, I'll close this report.
