Description Tatsuki.kaku 2014-11-02 13:16:06 CET
Dear Developers,

During the simulation of 14MeV neutron irradiation on titanium by HPNeutron processes with G4NDL libraries, G4.9.6.p02, G4.10.p02, no nucleus (e.g Ti48,Ti47) was produced during the (n,2n), (n, n+p) and (n,n+a) reactions, when the environment variable DO_NOT_ADJUST_FINAL_STATE was set to 1. The results are similar in vanadium, with no nucleus by the three reactions. However, for the case of iron, the production of nucleus can be observed in the those reactions. For details, please refer to the GEANT4 Forum:

http://hypernews.slac.stanford.edu/HyperNews/geant4/get/hadronprocess/1435.html

Thank you very much!

Tatsuki

Hi

This is an expected behavior.
You may miss recoiled nucleuses with the environment variable of DO_NOT_ADJUST_FINAL_STATE.
