I compiles the example-file N03 and started some particles for testing, all
works fine. The I want to change the decector-geometry, so I typed
'/calor/setNbOfLayers 50' and then, to update the detector-setup, I typed
'/calor/update'. But then no detector was plotted in the screen!
So what do I have to do that the detector is plotted again?

You need to invoke the necessary visualization commands.
