Description Vittorio Zecca 2013-08-13 10:45:45 CEST
Running geant4 version 10.00.b01 A01app test.in I get an overflow
at G4ChipsProtonElasticXS.cc:805
because pa is 2E156 and geant4 tries to compute pa*pa.
Can you confirm?
If yes what is the fix?
Comment 1 Vittorio Zecca 2013-08-15 07:26:28 CEST
Same bug running composite_calorimeter test.g4mac with pa=7E161
Comment 2 perl 2013-11-19 19:47:31 CET
Example A01 has been removed for release 10.0,
so this issue is no longer relevant.
Comment 3 Vittorio Zecca 2013-12-21 08:44:43 CET
It seems this issue is still relevant, I am getting the same bug running
test case basic/B5 with run2.mac and exampleB5.in again because variable pa
is too large, around 2.8E+156
Should I open a new issue or can you reopen this one?
Comment 4 Vittorio Zecca 2013-12-22 19:13:26 CET
Same bug running test case radioprotection run.mac
Comment 5 perl 2014-12-29 02:01:30 CET
If the bug still exists for you in some other example in the current Geant4 release, please open a bug report for that example.
