Description Pedro.Arce 2010-09-02 23:04:32 CEST
When de-excitation secondaries are emitted the energy lost - energy deposited is not equal to the sum of the energies of secondaries; to make it more clear: if all the secondaries in a step are due to de-excitation energy lost = energy deposited, so no energy should be left for secondaries. Then when one counts the total energy deposited in an event the number is bigger than the primary particle energy.
I understood from Vladimir Ivantchenko that energy should be conserved, so this must be a bug.

I am using geant4.9.4.b01

Thanks for reporting, we will investigate.

Could you please tell us :
- what is your physics list
- incident particle energy
- material
- show tracking details using for eg /tracking/verbose commands in order to illustrate the problem if you can

thank you
sebastien
