Please, read the release notes for Geant4 8.1 series for the correct version of CLHEP to use with.

I have used the CLHEP 2.0.3.1 source distribution

that I have build on my workstation (HP XW6200 model with Xeon 3.2Ghz CPU EM64T,
SLC4 x86_64 OS and gcc-3.4.6-3).

I konw that this platform is not yet supported or tested:
Do yuo suggest to use the distribution for AMD64 architecture?

To use your installation of CLHEP-2.0.3.1 you need Geant4-8.2.
CLHEP-2.0.3.1 (or 1.9.3.1) is NOT supported for older versions of Geant4.
The Geant4 release notes include the information of which CLHEP version to
use for each version of the Geant4 software.
There shouldn't be problems for installations on SLC4 x86_64 architectures.
