Description Fan.Lei 2003-07-10 05:20:22 CEST
It seems the ionization process is not applied to neutral ions (atoms) even
when they are travelling in dense crystal. Of course ionization is not
applicable to neutral particles but in this case the atoms will be ionised in
no time and they should be treated just as ions. The problem can be
demonstrated with example/novice/N05

It is not a bug, but an interesting development for the low energy and space
applications working group.

It may not be a bug in ionization process itself. The fact is fast atmos can
not be charge neutral in solid for long. It is unreal to see keV atmos
penetrating meters of concret for example.

I have also seen recoils from nuclear interactions managing to leave large
geometry setup due to, I assume, the charge state of the recoils were set to
zero. Something again cannot be right!
