Problem 339

Summary: Energy loss of triton -> dE > Etot
Product: Geant4 Reporter: c.datema
Component: processes/electromagnetic/lowenergyAssignee: Michel.Maire
Status: RESOLVED INVALID
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Version: 4.0
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux

Description c.datema 2002-01-09 08:17:58 CET
Whilst simulating the response of an Helium3 neutron detector, i get the
following output after the (n,p) reaction of the Helium3. The dE of the triton
is more than the total energy of the particle. The dE fluctuates around 230 keV,
which should be exactly 191 keV.

Sorry about the format of the output. Cut&paste obviously didn't do the job
properly. Email me for a better version.

The process involved ("hIoni") belongs to the standard electromagnetic package;
therefore, this problem report is reassigned to its coordinator.
