Description Peter Kunz 2018-05-17 02:11:02 CEST
After upgrade to geant4-10-04, a code to simulate isotope production from 500 MeV protons on a uranium target QGSP_INCLXX_HP coupled with ABLA is producing unreasonable results. Even though the code runs without errors, the resulting production cross sections are too small. The same code, used with geant4-10-03 produces results in good agreement with experimental data. I have been using the ABLA coupling suggested at http://irfu.cea.fr/Sphn/Spallation/physlist.html

Is there something different with the upgrade to INCL++ v6.0_rc18 and G4ABLA3.1? Please let me know if I am missing something.

Dear Peter Kunz,

Could you send me your "unreasonable" figure?
We run the job and obtained reasonable results with 0.5 and 1 GeV.
Do you use the library G4ABLA3.1?
Because we changed ABLA.
