I am new to Geant4 so this may be just my error.  However, I can not locate the CMake executable (cmake-gui) after unpacking geant4_10_00.zip. I have searched all of the folders after unpacking and only the CMake lists are found.

Is this my error or an actual problem?

You need to install CMake itself - please see the Installation Guide
