Description Victor Golovko 2009-10-05 16:01:36 CEST
Dear Geant4 developers,

I was trying to simulate the radioactive decay of Am-241 using Radioactive Decay Module (RDM) available in Geant4. However, the initial intensity of the gamma and x-rays lines that I have observed is not correct. In particular, one of the strongest x-ray lines for Am-241 decay would be 59.54 keV. In reality Geant4 RDM produce incorrect result for this line.

Would it be possible to check this and fix it?

Thank you in advance.
Victor.

P.S. I am using Geant4 v4.09.02-patch-02

Gamma spectrum from Am-241 decays

Dear Victor,

The attached plot is the emitted gamma spectrum from 100000 Am-241 decays using G4.9.3. The 59.5 keV line is the strongest emission as expected.
